Irish greeting: God be with you
Dia Duit can be directly translated as God be with you but it is used as an everyday greeting in Irish similar to how we would say hello in English. Words have been cherished in Ireland since the first lines were carved on Ogham stones and they are celebrated in the song, poetry and the art of everyday conversation.
After years in decline, the Irish language is experiencing a resurgence and its beauty can be seen in this award-winning design, originally carved by Adam Grabski.
